Soulcraft: The Way of Council and the Art of Mirroring.

This intensive will include an overview of key elements of soulcraft wilderness guiding. 

The Way of Council and the Art of Mirroring are two of the most essential and widely applicable Soulcraft practices. These pathways to self-discovery and soul encounter invite heart-centered interaction with our fellow humans. If you are seeking greater human intimacy within the context of nature's web, an opening of the heart, the ability to see others more deeply, and the capacity for depth, warmth, and closeness in any group, this intensive is for you. These two soul-and-nature-oriented practices are powerful tools for guides, teachers, counsellors, and therapists.

The Way of Council empowers people to gather together, speak from their hearts, and listen intently in witness to truth. Council supports you in accessing and expressing your heart, not only by making it safe to do so, but by creating a psychosocial field that reveals your depths to yourself as well as to others.

Mirroring is a collection of skills used in receiving, embracing, and honoring people's stories. In mirroring, we neither project nor interpret, but rather celebrate the magic of the story and the gifts of the One Who Bears the Tale. We help the storyteller to glean, harvest, and reap the jewels of their story, both the radiant ones and the dark ones. We draw out additional nuggets from hidden veins of ore. We practice being a clear mirror so that the teller, too, can taste and embrace the fullness and beauty of her story and be able to hold it as sacred tale, as a mythos that opens the road again to spiritual adventure. And we learn to receive and endure the pathos and grief of stories without flinching or avoiding, but always surrounding what we hear in a field of love.

One of the most healing and empowering things we can do in this life is to tell our stories in council - to really tell our stories! And one of the greatest gifts we can give in this life is to fully hear and embrace those stories, to resonate right down to our bones and know how to embody that resonance for the other.

As usual, don't even THINK about enrolling in this intensive unless you're quite sure you can put up with soulful communion, intense emotion, fun, exceptionally fertile and sometimes sweet darkness, breath-taking personal discoveries, interspersed quiet thresholds, and magical moments erupting without warning.
